Measure before spending
Before a dollar goes to clicks, we wire up tracking for phone calls, form messages and bookings, so each keyword is later kept or cut on the inquiries it produced.
In paid results, every wasted click lands on your bill. A loose keyword built on “kingston” can show your ad to job seekers, students researching a course or people far outside your area, and none of them will ever walk through your door. When local owners look for help, Google.ca suggests “kingston marketing agency” and “kingston advertising agency”; “google ads kingston” returns nothing at all.
The opposite mistake is just as costly. Kingston drew 2.65 million visitors in 2025, and 82.3% of them came from within Ontario. Many search before they leave home: “kingston boat tours prices”, “hotels kingston ontario near 401”, “kingston hotels downtown with parking”. A campaign limited to phones already inside the city misses that planning stage entirely, while one open to the whole world wastes money. The right settings sit in between, usually split across separate campaigns.
The local calendar shapes the rest. Tourism crowds into a short summer, student demand lands in September and again in April and May, and home services follow the weather: “furnace repair kingston ontario” and “snow removal kingston ontario” are cold-season searches. A budget held flat all year overspends in the quiet weeks and runs dry in the busy ones.
Search demand
Google.ca suggestions from October 2026. Some are worth a bid, some show how owners look for help, and a few belong on the negative list.
The first campaign is the narrowest one that can still produce inquiries, shown only to searchers located in Kingston and the places you cover, and blocking jobs, union, course, free, how to and similar terms as negatives. When it is bringing leads at a reasonable price, we may open a second, budget-capped campaign aimed at searchers elsewhere, visitors comparing cruise prices for instance, and measure it separately.
Paid or organic
They run on different clocks. Seasonal businesses here often buy ads through the busy months and lean on SEO for the rest of the year.
The work
Before a dollar goes to clicks, we wire up tracking for phone calls, form messages and bookings, so each keyword is later kept or cut on the inquiries it produced.
The main campaign reaches people who are in, or regularly in, the area you serve, rather than anybody who has shown an interest in some place called Kingston.
Searches about jobs, the plumbers’ union, courses and do-it-yourself fixes are shut out from the start, and the list grows each Monday as real queries come in.
More spend in the weeks that matter to your trade, such as furnace season, move-in week or the summer cruise months, and less once demand eases.
Ads running when someone can pick up, weighted toward evenings and weekends for restaurants and shops and toward office hours for professional services.
Copy for legal, real estate, mortgage and insurance clients reviewed against the Competition Act and whichever body oversees the advertiser: the Law Society of Ontario, RECO, FSRA or RIBO.
Done carefully
The standards we hold ourselves to on every account, set down in writing.
Your ad spend travels straight from your card to Google. Our fee stays put when your budget grows.
We build the campaigns inside an account registered to your business, and you hold the top level of access from day one. Management is part of the Pro plan, $550 a month in Canadian dollars, with no long-term contract. Leave whenever you like: the campaigns, the click history and the tracking setup remain in your hands.

How we work
Four stages, in the same order for every Kingston client, whatever the trade.
We audit your site and Business Profile and check your positions from downtown, the west end and the towns you serve.
We pick the Kingston searches most likely to bring work and match each one to a single page.
Profile, website, content and listings are improved in order of likely payoff, timed around your busy season.
You receive a one-page summary of the month’s calls, enquiries and rankings, plus the jobs lined up next.
Questions
We combine geography and vocabulary. The main campaign only serves people who are in, or routinely in, the area you pick, and a negative list stops job, course and do-it-yourself searches. Each week we review the real queries that triggered ads and add any new strays.
Rarely at the same level. A boat tour, patio or landscaping firm might run a fuller budget from spring to early autumn and a small one, or none, through the winter. We plan the year with you so spending climbs before the season opens, not halfway through it.
No. You pay Google directly for every click, on a card held in your own account. The Pro plan, $550 a month in CAD, covers our management time and nothing else.
Often, if you sell to visitors or newcomers. A B&B, a cruise operator or a moving company hears from many customers before they ever reach the city. We give that audience its own campaign and its own spending limit, so the cost of each out-of-town inquiry is visible rather than buried in the local numbers.
Yes. Ads must be accurate under the Competition Act, and the Law Society of Ontario has its own rules on how lawyers and paralegals advertise; RECO, FSRA and RIBO do the same for real estate, mortgage and insurance work. Google layers its own policies on top. We keep every claim factual and send each ad to you for approval before launch.
Allow roughly a season. In the first few weeks most of the value lies in the search terms report, which shows what people really typed before they clicked; trimming the waste it reveals is what makes later months cheaper per inquiry. You can still stop at the end of any month.
